Garden Lawn Mowers
Garden lawn mowers are great options for those who have a yard with a rough terrain, difficult spaces, and other uses like hauling and property management, like grading driveways or loading firewood. Choosing a garden mower, however, can be intimidating with so many options and things to consider when making the choice. Garden lawn mowers are much more powerful and useful than a regular lawn mower, however, and it is important to be able to make a good choice as they are a hefty investment. The good news is that all you need is a little knowledge of your needs and your options to make the right choice.
Because garden lawn mowers are so powerful, large and (most importantly) expensive, the first thing you need to consider is whether you have enough need for such an investment. If you have a large yard, good size garden, and several places around your property that are used for farming or wood cutting, chances are a garden lawn mower is right for you. If however you have a relatively flat yard with little or no need for any kind of hauling to be done, you may be better off with a cheaper regular lawn mower that will still work great for your needs.
Another option you should consider is that of accessories. Chances are that if you have need for a garden lawn mower, you will need at least one accessory for it, whether that is a wheelbarrow-style wagon to pull behind or a plow-style attachment for the front for winter. The challenge is in knowing which accessories you will need on a regular basis and which ones you could skip on for now. For example, you won’t need that plow attachment if you rarely find snow and ice an inconvenience or a leaf collector if you enjoy raking your own leaves in the fall.
Finally, always consider your budget when deciding whether to buy a garden mower. More power and multiple uses are great, but they are very much more expensive than a regular push or ride on lawn mower. Decide if your budget can take it before you choose to go with garden lawn mowers.
